May 26 2008 Memorial Day Bolder Boulder
Foothills Kiwanis "Starting Line” Fundraiser

This past Memorial Day marked the 30th running of the Bolder Boulder annual 10K race. This year over 54,000 people ran through the streets of Boulder to promote fitness in our community. Foothills Kiwanis continued its tradition of supporting this event by providing security team volunteers at the race’s starting line. Eighteen Foothills Kiwanis members, family, and friends helped race coordinators organize the waves of runners at 30th and Iris, who then finished at the University of Colorado’s Folsom Field. Our club donated the financial compensation we received as volunteers to the Fisher House organization to help recovering veterans in the name of David Hass (U.S. Navy).

Starting Line volunteers
