Kiwanis Club of the Foothills

• Financial support and volunteer time contributed to the Boulder Mapleton Rehabilitation Center, which provides physical therapy and various rehabilitation programs for children in the Boulder/Denver area. • Volunteering for end-of-year Salvation Army bell-ringing to collect contributions at a Boulder or Louisville location. Since 1996, our club has collected nearly $300,000 in donations, winning each year the Salvation Army Boulder County Bell-Ringing Award for the most donations collected by any Boulder County volunteer group. Additional Kiwanis Club of the Foothills contributions and/or volunteer hours are provided for:

• Support of the Sister Carmen Community Center in Lafayette via donated health-care and elementary school items
• Delivery of seasonal fruit baskets to shut-ins for Retired Seniors Volunteer Program (RSVP)
  
• Providing a $1000 tuition scholarship each year to a college-bound high school senior from the Boulder area.
  

Additional Kiwanis Club of the Foothills fund-raising projects include:

• Taste of Downtown Boulder held every year in April or May
  
• Collection of contributions at the Boulder Fourth of July fireworks celebration at Folsom Field
